Annette Tsindos

Annette has enjoyed her roles as the Director, Early Childhood teacher and Educational leader at CK for the past 10 years. She remains passionate about the value of play and inquiry-based learning for 3-5 year olds in a community kindergarten setting after many years in the early childhood field. Her experience includes working with vulnerable families and children, culturally and linguistically diverse children , devising and providing play therapy programs for very ill children at The Royal Children’s hospital as well delivering educational programs to a myriad of community-based preschools.

Annette plans the 4 year old Group ( the year prior to school) with fellow educators to provide stimulating curriculums to support children’s emerging interests and developmental skills.

Annette is a qualified teacher, holds current teacher registration (VIT) and current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma and CPR certificates. She attends professional development seminars and workshops annually and enjoys reading and researching new information related to the education and care of young children to inform her practice.

Annette ensures the program is conducted in both indoor and outdoor leaning spaces, both of which have a strong emphasis on the connection with the natural world. Children are empowered to make decisions and become autonomous. There is also a strong emphasis on teaching children how to build and maintain caring relationships with other children and adults, communicate and use effective language skills, develop good learning dispositions, a robust and confident sense of self and the ability to enjoy a wide range of experiences on offer.

Annette is also the parent of two wonderful sons.
